This collection of work "Lockdown Landmarks" is focused on place and time as I am instinctively influenced by those who came before, who used nature as their guide, who used weather as their guide, who used creativity as their guide, who used living as their guide. Where art and life were one. The freedom that exists in these paintings come from the rebellion against rules and conditioning in society with layers and layers built up while simultaneously breaking down societal conditioning. Where concept and theory has not arisen, colour is often the subject. Some paintings intuitively accompany a spoken word or poem as writing is part of my everyday - one medium feeds the other, shifting gears and allowing for a detour down unforged tributaries.
