"‘Heavy Stuff, Light Us’, investigates humans innate desire to become more minimal beings and connected with nature versus the constant pull towards materialism. The artist is trying to find a balance between these two worlds; the tension and non-linear process towards minimalism is highlighted through painting, text and installation. It is the artist’s intention to spark a dialogue among the viewer and ask the question if we can prompt our bodies to remember a time when we were light in ‘stuff’ yet richer in spirit.
