"Anything that puts one in the present moment is a portal to the divine.

One way I connect is to dive into the belly of the sea, or walk across stepping stones laid down by ancestors to lead the way across waters.......another way is through painting."

 

I try to capture experiences from rocks seen, places I have been, stories heard or water on skin. There is a nod to the past, the work influenced by ancient symbols, rock art and songlines with the history of storytelling subconsciously affecting the mark-making.
